The aim of the Internationaler Verband der Naturtextilwirtschaft (IVN) is to create awareness for ecology, social accountability, health issues, and quality. To support businesses operating in sustainable manufacturing of textiles and leather goods is its primary mission.

Sustainable textiles (finished or intermediate) can be audited throughout the entire production chain.  If a non-textile material is used, only natural (cotton, linen, wool, silk, and similar) materials are allowed.  IVN BEST allows partial labeling as long as the individual product components meet the BEST requirements on the appropriate parts. INV only allows 100% organic fibers can be labeled.

The sustainable goods will be evaluated throughout the entire production chain.
