Prefix: About QB/T 1196-2012:

QB/T 1196-2012 is an amendment to QB/T 1196-1991. This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, and inspection rules as well as the labeling, packing, transportation, and storage of down & feather pillows. It is applicable to down and feather pillows that are mainly filled with down and feathers and take various textile fabrics.

Classification: Products are classified into three categories based on testing results: Premier, First Class, and Qualified. These various requirements are outlined in the testing requirements below.

1. Meeting Down and Feather Requirements for QB/T 1196-2012:

Down and Feather components are tested using the GB/T 10288-2003 methods and evaluated according to QB/T 1196- 2012 requirements (see chart 1).

Additional Details:

Content:

             - Components must meet minimum requirements given by QB/T 1196-2012 (see chart 1).

             - For products with blended materials, the percentage of down and feather should be at least 50% of the total filling weight                       and the down components must also meet the minimum requirements given by QB/T 1196-2012 (see chart 1).

Goose or Duck Species:
