Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA)

Aims

APSCA (Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors) is the industry association created to support individuals and organizations by promoting the use of independent social compliance audits as a tool to advance workplace conditions globally.  

Scope

APSCA oversees Member Firms and the individual Member Auditors who work on their behalf as they perform social compliance audits around the globe. A social compliance audit is defined as containing, at minimum, the following components:  

  • Observations of conditions in the facility (defined as “a place where a product is made, grown, distributed, sold, etc.), also known as a facility tour, which includes the work area, and any other relevant area such as canteen and dormitories (where and when applicable) 
  • Review of records and policies related to Code section (permits and licenses, payroll records, employee files, policies, disciplinary procedures) 
  • Management interviews 
  • Worker interviews (with direct employees, contractors, temporary workers, and all other persons on site), and  
  • Triangulation of all information  

APSCA's Mission:

To enhance the professionalism, consistency, and credibility of individual auditors and organizations performing independent social compliance audits. 

APSCA's Vision:

For Member Firms and Certified Social Compliance Auditors (CSCA) to be trusted professionals in social compliance auditing. 

Requirements
