The following labels must be used for bedding products manufactured after September 1, 2000.

Jackets and vests must declare the actual down content, but do not need the additional label information. Labels for apparel can be smaller in size, but they must accessible to the consumer. This label should contain the general product category and the detailed sub-labeling percentage information, such as DOWN (MINIMUM 80% DOWN).

Note: When referring to feathers: If Specie (Goose or Duck) is not listed on label, “Waterfowl” must be used in the main label or sublabel.

Reg. No. = State Uniform Registry Number. Permit No. = State Sterilization Permit Number. RN = Federal FTC Registry Number.
